John Bishop did walk into the Frog and Bucket in 2000, got on stage and the rest is, well you know, now he’s one of the biggest comics in the UK.
Back then it had other names such as Raw and Best Of British, where you would have seen Johnny Vegas, Peter Kay, Dan Nightingale, Jason Manford and Caroline Aherne hanging out or being on stage at our Open mic Night.

However, since 2003, it’s been called Beat The Frog and it’s the show you see today, well with a few updates of course.
In the 20 something years, the names below have tried, been carded, won the clap off, made it into the final or became the Winner. We feel really proud to watch this amazing lot make careers in their own right and know our club was apart of their Journey

Beat The Frog heats take place each Monday from November through to September, with the semi finals & Final are in October.
