The Frog started this podcast because many female comics don't get to be in a greenroom together, chat and share experiences so you can hear from comics chatting about how they got into comedy, the paths they created and what helped them along their journey.

Funny Women is the destination to discover, connect and grow with humour. We show women from all walks of life how to use comedy and humour to build their confidence, explore their creativity and have a voice. We strongly believe in equal rights and opportunities for all; by empowering female-identifying voices, we can contribute to gender parity in our industry and beyond.

From our Comedy Crash Course to our Stand Up to Stand Out workshops, performance is encouraged, participation mandatory and laughter absolutely non-negotiable!

The owl network is a uk-wide support network ran by Tegan Marlow, Daisy Earl & Alex Stringer.

In the past, they have organised meet ups & workshops yet currently, the private Facebook group exists as a safe forum for female/nb acts.

They run it for free because they see the gap where female & nb comics deserve a safe space to ask “stupid Qs” and get support.

If you’d like to join, there are a few initial admin requests (questions to answer) before your invitation is accepted. For the link to join, please email

The Frog & Bucket is a supporter of Get Off Live Comedy. In order to make the organisation relevant and industry led we surveyed over 800 workers and held 4 sets of focus groups with a diverse group of comedians and promoters. It was heartening to see that everyone has a common goal to remove sexual harrassment from our circuit, we truly think there is a commitment from all sides to bettering our industry.
