You have to have a 6 week gap before applying again, but that doesn't mean you get a gig every 6 weeks, you may only get 2 - 3 spots a year due to the volume of acts applying
how progression works at the frog & Bucket?
Step One: Make it into the Beat The Frog Semi Finals.
Step Two: Make it into the Grand Final
Step Three: After the Final depending how you go we may invite you for a 5 min unpaid or 10 min paid spot on a Thursday
Step Four: If your 5 mins or 10 mins goes well we may invite you to a 15 min or 20 min paid spot.
Step Five: If your 20 mins goes well we may invite you to a Pro-weekend.
This is a Marathon not a Sprint, it can be a long journey, so keep learning, growing, keep polishing your set and we look forward to seeing your progression.
what you need know!
Arrival between 7 - 7:30 pm
The show starts at 8 pm.
Finishes between 10:30 - 10:45 pm.
We are accessibility friendly venue, but our stage is high with 3 steps going to it, however you can be side of stage to do your set.
For Accessible acts we recommend bringing a friend or carer with you.
Yes you can have Musical instrumental, props and tech.
No you can’t have your own intro music.
Your set of filmed and you can buy it after you have preformed.
Each acts gets a plus one and they will be in the standing area.
Last train from Manchester is between 10 pm - 10:30 pm

We do not tolerate material that is racist, misogynistic, homophobic, xenophobic or unnecessarily extremely vulgar. We also do not tolerate material that has been ripped off or copied from a professional comedian. You will be gonged off if we believe your material to be any of the above
This includes any friends you bring into the club, if they do any of the above, heckle through the show or make any other comic feel uncomfortable they will be asked to leave you may receive a 6 month ban form the club
